Empowering the Future: FOHY Awards Historic First Joint Scholarships in Partnership with UTH & Honduras Corea

We are thrilled to announce a significant milestone in our mission to support the youth of Honduras. In a powerful partnership between Future of Honduran Youth (FOHY), Honduras Corea, and UTH (Universidad Tecnológica de Honduras), we have officially awarded our first-ever university scholarships to three exceptional graduates.

Celebrating Our First Scholars

After successfully completing their one-year program at Honduras Corea, these three students were selected for the FOHY scholarship based on their dedication and potential:

  • Emily Ester Hernandez Perdomo

  • Elias Samuel Ortega Lopez

  • Emelyn Lizeth Ramos Chacon

Through this collaborative scholarship, these students will receive the financial support necessary to complete their full four-year college degree at UTH.

A Graduation to Remember

The scholarship presentation took place during a historic graduation ceremony on December 18, 2025. The event was a grand celebration attended by the students’ families and distinguished guests, including the Mayor of San Pedro Sula and the President of UTH.

Representing FOHY at the ceremony, Santiago Kim and Manuel Chacon were honored to personally award the certificates to our scholars, marking the beginning of their journey toward higher education and professional leadership.

Our Commitment

This partnership reflects our core belief that education is the key to a brighter future. By bridging the gap between vocational training and university degrees, we are helping these young leaders build a foundation for lifelong success.

Congratulations to Emily, Elias, and Emelyn! We look forward to seeing all that you achieve at UTH.
