2025 Ministry Summary: A Year of Grace and Growth in Honduras
As we look back on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the journey God has led us through. Through your dedication and obedience, what often seemed impossible became a reality through His grace.
Below is a summary of our primary ministry areas from the past year:
1. Educational Ministry
Our commitment to empowering the youth through education remained a cornerstone of our work this year.
English Language Programs: We successfully conducted English education classes at both the Bordo Health Center and the Honduras Corea.
The "Dream Dozen": This dedicated initiative provided mentorship and specialized instruction for twelve selected students, becoming a clear source of hope for their futures. We honored student progress with certificates and awards, including a representative English presentation during the August graduation.
Higher Education Pathways: We established a scholarship plan to support graduates as they transition into university education, ensuring their academic journey continues.
2. Spiritual & Community Ministry
We continued to grow as a community of faith, building one another up through the Word.
Worship and Baptism: We held regular services at the Las Brisas Chapel and celebrated as brothers and sisters confessed their faith through baptism.
Pastoral Fellowship: We were blessed by visits from Portland area pastors and moved forward in maturity alongside our local Esperanza ministry partners.
Life Milestones: Our community celebrated the beauty of new beginnings, including several weddings and the arrival of new life.
3. Community Outreach & Empowerment
Ministry extended beyond the classroom and chapel to meet the practical needs of our neighbors.
Health and Welfare: We maintained a consistent presence in the Bordo slum area, providing support through the local health center.
Economic Empowerment: We launched our first micro-loan project, providing the startup support and prayers needed to open a local barber shop.
Service and Hospitality: Volunteers dedicated their time to preparing meals with love, ensuring that our support reached the hearts of the children and their families.
4. Vision & Thanksgiving
Looking back, we recognize that every step of this journey was already prepared and guided by God.
